The same house can turn up on Airbnb, on Booking.com and on the owner's own site. The Surf Villa and the other houses on the villas page are in Costa Adeje and Las Américas, south Tenerife. You can book them here, with the family that owns them.
No platform guest fee
A booking platform can add a guest fee at checkout, or it can take its fee from the owner instead. Which of those applies depends on that platform, and on the fee structure attached to the listing. It is not one figure, and we will not invent one. On this site a platform guest fee is not charged. The nightly price on the live calendar is the price for the house. The cleaning fee is shown on its own at checkout. There is no booking fee on top. The quote shows every line before you pay: nightly rate, any discount, cleaning fee and taxes where they apply.
You talk to the owners
The message does not go to a call centre. A person answers the same day. Write from the enquiry form, by email at stay@thesurfvillatenerife.com, or by WhatsApp, which is messages only. The same family runs the four villas. If you are not sure which house fits, say who is coming and we will tell you which one does.
A flexible enquiry, before you pay
The calendar sells the dates it can sell. If the week you want is not showing, or you want to talk through the group before you pay a deposit, send an enquiry. Longer stays, and dates the calendar will not sell on its own, are what the form is for. You do not pay to ask. Bookings and payments are with Konsu Properties S.L.U., the company that holds the tourist licences. The villas are marketed by Luxe STR Global LLC.
The live calendar
Prices and minimum stays change by date. On the calendar, hover a night and it shows that night's price and its minimum stay. Pick a check-in and it shows the earliest check-out. That is the figure for those dates. Each villa has the same kind of calendar on its own page. You pay 50% when you book and the rest before you arrive.
The licence on the page
Every holiday rental in the Canary Islands needs a vivienda vacacional licence, and the number has to be on the advertising. Ours are on the villa pages, issued by the Gobierno de Canarias:
- The Surf Villa, seven en-suite bedrooms, sleeps 17: VV-38-4-0090194
- The Surf Villa 3, sleeps 15: VV-38-4-0093200
- The Surf Villa 2, five bedrooms in the centre of Las Américas, next to Siam Park and Siam Mall, sleeps 12: VV-38-4-0113261
- Villa Black, sleeps 8: VV-38-4-0097909
If a listing has no licence number, ask for it before you pay. An unlicensed rental can be closed, and the booking with it.
What to check before booking a large villa
Sleeping twelve and hosting twelve are different things. Before you pay a deposit, use the eight things to check:
- The licence, and the guest limit the calendar will actually accept.
- Real beds, not a sofa counted as a bedroom.
- Bathrooms enough that the morning is not a queue.
- One table that seats the group.
- The minimum stay on the dates you want, read from the live calendar rather than a "from" price.
- What the deposit is, and who in the group is paying it.
- Who meets you on arrival.
- The company you are paying, named on the site.
How the four villas compare for 12 to 17 people puts bedrooms, bathrooms and licences in one place. Three families in one house is the subject of the multi-generational guide: seven en-suite bedrooms, an upstairs penthouse designed for a family, a 32ft heated pool, a sauna and an ice bath, and about a two-minute walk to Siam Mall and Siam Park. What you gain and what you give up against a hotel is in the villa or hotel guide.
The flagship is a private house. You rent the house from the owners. A manager meets you, and a chef or another extra can be added after you book. Food, drinks and entertainment are not packaged into the nightly price.
Book on the calendar, or ask first
Check the dates, look at all four villas, or tell us the group and the week. A person answers the same day.
Questions
Do I pay a platform guest fee if I book direct?
No. A booking platform can add a guest fee at checkout, or take its fee from the owner, depending on its fee structure. That guest fee is not charged here. The nightly price is the price on the live calendar, and the cleaning fee is shown separately at checkout.
Who do I talk to if I book with the owners?
The family that owns the villas. A person answers the same day, from the enquiry form, by email at stay@thesurfvillatenerife.com, or by WhatsApp (messages only).
Can I send an enquiry before I pay?
Yes. Use the enquiry form to describe the group and the dates before you pay a deposit. You do not pay to ask. Longer stays and dates the calendar will not sell can be sent the same way.
Where is the live calendar?
On the homepage, at the booking section, and on each villa page. Hover a date for that night's price and minimum stay. Pick a check-in and the calendar shows the earliest check-out.
How do I check the villa is licensed?
Each villa page shows its Canarian tourist licence, Gobierno de Canarias. The Surf Villa is VV-38-4-0090194. The Surf Villa 3 is VV-38-4-0093200. The Surf Villa 2 is VV-38-4-0113261. Villa Black is VV-38-4-0097909. Bookings are with Konsu Properties S.L.U., the licence holder.
What should I check before booking a large villa?
The licence and the guest limit, real beds, bathrooms, a table for the group, the minimum stay on your dates, the deposit, who meets you, and the company you are paying. The longer list is the guide to eight things to check before you book.
What if the dates I want are not on the calendar?
Send an enquiry with the dates and the size of the group. A person answers the same day. The calendar is what can be booked online. The form is for the weeks it will not sell on its own.
